Sunset Beach

Last year I traveled with the Heilperns to Sunset Beach off the coast of NC here are the occupants left to right.
Jim (Jessica's husband)Megan (Jennifers friend) Jessica,James, Jennifer, and me.
We had spent the entire morning building this sand castle and it was awesome! Jessica and I are responsible for the two towers and the main structure- Jim did the Notre Dame on the left back and you can't see the other little structures that James, Jennifer and Megan did. The beach patrol guy kept driving by on his ATV and stopping and staring at us while we worked, which made Jessica and I nervous- it just felt like he was deciding on whether or not to bust us for something! Turns out he was just impressed with our sand castle. As you can see a storm was rolling in behind us - you might remember "them" It's name was Bonnie/Charlie. Yes we were at the beach playing in the sand as a hurricane was rolling in (it didn't arrive for another two days). The trip was great! Jim got burnt to a crisp - I don't think I have ever seen anyone that white before in my life. James got toasted because he didn't' put sun block on until after he got burnt- the rest of us were tanned but fine. The waves had such a huge drag in them that it was a work out just to get fare enough out to catch a wave with our boogie boards (every time I hear the word boogie I think of the dance class Matt and I took where the instructor would play "boogie shoes"). The Heilpern children suck at boogie boarding- they would wait to long to grab the wave and get dumped before they went anywhere. Jim, despite never having been to the beach before loved the water and was pretty good at boogie boarding. He also loved building sand castles- at least one a day. Jessica and Jim vs. James and Terra... James and I had a way cooler one going until it broke when I was hollowing out our tower, but it was still fun. There is talk about returning this year as well.

What? No HP update? I guess if you are anything like my wife you will be occupied for the next 24-48 hours reading it.
