Jason has a friend from his mission named Jacob Kroon. I wrote him a few times while he was on his mission and got to meet him when he came out to visit this summer.
Apparently he lived in Morganton for a while when he was little (around 7 years old) I spoke with my friend Sarah who's family has lived in Morganton for ever to see if she remembered him.
She did! I still didn't, which I guess I should have because I interacted with him (I was 9).
But the other day I was thinking...(I think a lot, particularly about useless things.) And my thoughts kept turning to Hurricane Hugo, our family had visitors during the hurricane because there was a family in the ward who needed a place to stay since their power was off.
A little boy around 7 and his sister (along with their parents, who I don't remember at all except that they were there).
This family gave us Charlie our horrid little Dautsun. I'm serious, this dog was really submissive so whenever you tried to pet him he would roll over and pee on himself (he did that on Abby's bed once).
I asked Jason if Jacobs family ever had Dautsuns, and what do you know, they did.
He's even seen pictures!
Turns out Jacob is that little boy who stayed with us.

It's a small world. Matt and my brother Jason also determined that Matt and Becca attended the same private school in Utah as my brother Jason and my sister Lisa. Turns out that they missed each other by like a year.
actually the family that stayed with us during the hurricane were named the klemicks. i probably didn't spell that right but that was their name. their daughter, jessica, was my age and their son was around katie's age and his anme was jason. unless he changes his name it's a different guy. that little boy smelled like poo.
