what do you think?

Last night Jason and I went over to one of his friends houses for dinner.
Avocado Chicken. Very good.
Anyway…
A conversation starts that concerns whether or not I could load marble slab.
I say I could, he says I couldn’t. I point out that if I say I can so something then I will do it, and ask if he can name a situation where that wasn’t the case.
He says he can think of at least four situations, but then immediately says he won’t tell me what they are because he will get in trouble and/or hurt my feelings. I nagged him for a while, but he wouldn’t tell me!
How would you feel if someone said you had a personality fault but wouldn’t tell what it was so you could fix it?
Rude. That’s what it is.

are you saying the personality fault is that you said you could do something and you couldn't or that you say you can do pretty much everything?

humph...
There is nothing wrong with following through when you said you could do something.
Poop head.
the personality fault is saying you can do what you say you can do but have it not be true.

Why couldn't you load marble slab? With the right tools, I don't see a problem.

He's on thin ice with the 4 situations thing. He stepped out onto the frozen lake when he said he could name the examples. Now he needs to step up and say them. He can't leave you in suspense....

I know! Honestly, doubting my creativity, that's what he is doing!
I think I sounded a little pissy on the post-I'm not really, I'm just curious.

Jasons', in general, are nototious at implying knowledge without actually having any. Based on his first name alone I would just let it pass. He is blowing smoke.

The people involved in this conversation obviously are trying to cover their backs as their statements cannot be supported by the possibility of 4 unsubstatiated cases of supposed inability on your part to not do something you said you could or would do. Tell them to put up or shut up! I agree, rude is exactly what it is. Let's take them out to the parking lot and straighten out the situation. Dad
