I hate buying running shoes. It’s like buying undergarments but worse. Probably because I know what I need in undergarments and I have no idea what “support” my feet need. I have weird shaped feet and a short choppy stride striking hard on my heal every time I land. The second to last pair of shoes I bought gave me shin splints just by walking in them, let alone running in them.
I bought some shoes the other day and they are just not working. My calf muscle feels strained, and they feel too narrow. Which means I now have to return these and start all over again.

Apt. update: Kevin told #1 & #2 that the power bill was included in the rent. Since I’m mentioning it you can gather that it’s not.

Have you tried talking to a salesperson for advice regarding which shoes would be best for you?
It's amazing how a shoe can affect your body. I have found that I am most comfortable in a shoe with a bit of a heal.
try a boys shoes they are wider. I suffer from BIG time problems with my feet, I have found some brands that more comfortable, but none of them are running, try this site http://www.comfortableshoes.com/start.cfm they will probley have something for you. Good Luck!
