I don't know if black is the best background color. The use of papyrus/old world font is not a good idea unless it is in an image. People who do not have that font on their computer will not see your page in its entended beauty.
I would suggest a self portrait on the welcome page instead of that flower. You absolutly need a contact page with an e-mail form and an easy way to call you. I would use caps for the word THIS in your title. I am seeing a block text in caps for the word "this" and then a very elegant script for the word "photography" in all lower case. Also I would build the header with a built in menue that would incorperate more images with brighter colors with the menue graphically incorperated. I would also make the preview thumbs bigger and would put a popup preview script to view a larger image. click

I'd just like to verify one of his comments. On our computer it looked like the site was all in Times New Roman. Yucky. I'd love to see the site's *real* look.
I also think you should post a picture of yourself. People like knowing who they are dealing with, and it doesn't hurt that you are really good looking. It has been shown that beautiful people make more money . . .
if i click on the wedding gallery link, i'm directed to the portrait gallery page. but if i click on the portrait gallery link, i'm directed to the wedding gallery page.
oh! now, i see. "a lot of the links don't work right." nice site, though.
regarding dave's comment on the font. you could create the banner with any font you want in a graphics editor and then save the whole thing as a graphic.
