just lovely

I finally saw "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" the other night- wonderfully done! It was a bit disconcerting realizing that the animators had given the female beaver breasts- but I'll get over it.

It's also offical - I have a crush on the "new" Peter.

Jessica did ask an interesting question, with all the Christian symbolism in the book, who do the four children stand for?

You said beaver and breasts in the same sentence.

I havn't seen it yet but I find it interesting that movies that are overtly Christian or are covert Christian (example "The Lord of The Rings") are the most popular movies in our time.

I don't think the kids stand for anyone in particular, just Christians in general. I don't relaly know though. I liked the movie except that I thought the effects were really inconsistent. Sometimes they were awesome and sometimes it was really obvious they were in front of a green screen.

I agree- the green screen effects were fairly shoddy.
We also decided that the children didn't stand for anything in particular - just characters in the story.

the kids represent mankind (adam and eve)--not only christians.

i didn't notice any breasts.. and i think i would have

I think they kind of have to represent Christians since they have to believe in Aslan/Jesus in order to save Narnia. Just my opinion.

yeah, i see your point. similar theme in lotr, too. humans, despite their weakness and infirmities, are required to save the world. and i guess from a christian perspective, all humans are "God's" children, whether they believe or not.

i thought lotr was about a world war?
