For the past several years melissa and I have planned and taken a birthday trip together since her birthday is only a couple of weeks from mine.
This year things got a little complicated with time off and money, so instead of the tropical vacations we had previously taken we were going to just hang low.
phegh! Turns out she has a friend in Mexico City who can pick us up from the airport and let us stay with them! Yay!
So it looks like Mexico City it is! I have no idea what a person does in Mexico City but we will find out!

I understand you stay inside to avoid the pollution or go far from the city to enjoy the clean air.
