Still in PHX

Dad dropped me off in Charlotte last Wensday in order for me to head home...
I have been in route to Seattle for the last three days.

Why?

Well Melissa and I asked ourselves that same question when the flights were consistantly over sold with an insane number of "Non-Revs" (This is short for the term "non-revue" which is what employees, family, retiree's and buddy pass passangers are. The airline doesn't earn any money for that seat when they fly).

We're talking 50 non-revs listed everyday on the first flight out. For both Seattle and Portland.

So we googled events in Seattle...There is an anual food tasting convention that bosts over 400,000 attendees.
This is what seems to be prompting the clot of people blocking my way from getting home.
We thought the non-revs would still try to get there today but were sure they would give up by Sunday which is the last day of this wretched convention.

no such luck.

First flight out (usually the golden flight of non-revs) has 20 empty seats and 50! non-revs. Portland has 47.

GO HOME, YOU'RE NOT GETTING THERE IN TIME FOR THAT STUPID CONVENTION!
