photo books/ scrapbooking

I've been getting these emails for free photobooks, which on the surface is awesome. But under it all I kind of dislike them. The paper is flimsy, they're limited to about 20 pages, and you can't add to them afterwards.

They just seem so...generic. The kind of album you won't ever look at again.
The thing is, I kind of hate scrapbooking as well. But what I hate even more is knowing there are photos just sitting in a box never getting looked at. What's the point of taking photos if you never look at them?! Or worse moldering in the box- waiting for everyone to forget the names and places of those pictured.

what to do...

Well, my photobook turned out half way decently. Would you like me to send you a link or something? You could always use the coupon to make photobook gifts for people and get out on the cheap side...

I would love to see the link!

I don't know that a photo book from me would really rank as a gift- I don't have any babies or anything. Once I was making a scrapbook of things Jason and I did and Samantha (who was much younger) said "you're not making a book of just you and jason are you? That will be really boring".

Well, you can make a photobook of pictures you have taken of the gift recipient. One of the best gifts MA and I ever got was a photo calendar that Kathleen made of pictures of our kids.
